Simplicity Is Tangible. Experiences Are A Currency

Laced in rural wisdom, celebrating authentic conversations, narrating folktales and reviving an age-old fair, the Saur Village festival is a two-day village experience festival. Tucked in the remote village of Saur, in rural Uttarakhand it aims to help you embrace the abundance of nature, collaborate with villagers to learn cool new skills and most importantly, allow yourself to be warmed up by the sheer presence of seekers, dreamers and artists from across the country.

We're camping it out in open fields surrounded by mountains!

If you are someone who is charmed by rural life, the birdsong at dawn, and the milky way at night, and would like to even try learning some traditional recipes then this is for you!

The participation and attendance fee for this curated event is INR 7,500. This includes:

  • Travel from Dehradun to Saur and back

  • Accommodation for three nights and two days

  • Some lip smacking Garhwali food

  • Access to workshops of your choice

  • Village walk

  • Guided trek

  • Beautiful sunsets

  • Conversations and collaborations with people who care

The festival is scheduled for 27th and 28th October 2018. However, you are requested to arrive in Dehradun by 26th October 1 pm from where we will be travelling to Saur and the departure from Saur to Dehradun has been scheduled for 29th.

The Wise Wall Project last year was followed up with the highly eventful and soul-stirring "Saur Village Festival" for honoring the annual fair that once used to be the lifeline of this village. Over 100 people from all over the country - buzzing with the excitement to experience the lives of these people, to listen to their stories, to paint their fables on walls, to learn and unlearn and to contribute to the socio-economic conditions of the residents - took part in the 2-day long festival.

Project FUEL believes in teaching through experience. We collect life lessons from people of all ages and backgrounds across the world and design them into interactive and performance based curriculums. We have had the privilege to take life lessons all the way to the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
