Song for the Lion

Maasai people consider cows to be one of their greatest assets. All of the basic needs of the Maasai people, such as food, clothing, and shelter, have traditionally been met by their cattle. Morans are the warriors who safeguard the community and its animals. To ward off lions, they sing a song to them; this is an incredible method of eliminating the beasts. Their story illustrates how they ready themselves to combat the predators, making them powerful.
